Not Just For The Elite & Famous
In 1999, Harvey Baskin, the previous owner of Geoffrey’s Malibu transferred ownership of the restaurant to Jeff Peterson, the General Manager who started as a busboy 12 years prior and worked his way through the ranks of the company to eventually become its owner.
Jeff believes the proof of a classic restaurant is one that stands the test of time by consistently excelling in quality of food, atmosphere, and service. Since 1999, Peterson has expanded the restaurant’s appeal by hosting benefits and working with charitable organizations of all kinds, including his most recent project Malawi Rise, through Urban Promise International. The restaurant's profile within the humanitarian realm also extends to benefiting charities that focus on underprivileged children and animal welfare, as well as granting donations throughout the year within the local community and beyond.
Though still a magnet to Hollywood luminaries, Geoffrey's Malibu also attracts politicians, ambassadors, world travelers, as well as those who live locally. It has not only withstood the test of time, but continues to be a local hotspot and dining favorite. We welcome you to experience a historic place that embodies the natural beauty of Malibu. What could be more classic?
